My aim is to equip people with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to continue their own research.

Let me help you

  • if you have hit a “brick wall” in your research
  • if you need help to research Irish archives and sources
  •  if you would like a professional to review your research to date
  • if you want to translate your research into a Family Tree for the family to treasure

I can offer

1. Help with your research

Many have researched their family history successfully in their own country and then continued their research in the unfamiliar landscape of Irish genealogy.

However, Irish genealogy can be challenging and many need help to overcome specific problems or “brick walls” that threaten their research.

I can help people unfamiliar with using Irish archives and sources and enable them to continue their research.

2. Tuition

Irish Genealogy can be  difficult.  We have no 19th century censuses, civil registration was only introduced for all births, marriages and deaths in 1864 and before then we are dependent on church records which are patchy.

I can arrange bespoke tuition aimed at empowering people to do their own research and to confidently trace their Irish ancestors.

Bespoke tuition is offered in 1-2 hourly tranches at €75 per hour.

3. Review

I can undertake short but thorough reviews of family history research completed to date, provide challenges and recommend prudent research strategies.

Reviews are normally offered in 2 hourly tranches.

4. Presentation

I can offer help with presenting your family histories.  If you have completed your research work  and would like to record your family history in a traditional chart, I may be able to help.

I specialise in the design of bespoke Family Trees which are highly customisable.  These are professionally printed and can be hung proudly on a wall or kept securely as a family heirloom.

Reports and family records can also be presented in attractive binders.

Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

5. Free Consultation
